The House vote, however, hit a snag as twelve conservative Republicans blocked the procedural motion, citing structural concerns with the crypto bills. The 196-223 defeat stalls progress on the GENIUS Act and two related measures, despite Speaker Mike Johnson's pledge to revisit the vote. Dissenting lawmakers include prominent figures like Marjorie Taylor Greene and Chip Roy.
